As the second canvas for Peter's show nears completion, i filmed a short interview discussing the content and intentions of peters complicated picture.
Six foot by Eight is a lot of canvass to fill and the sheer ambition of this piece shows Peter's determination to create some imposing work within what now seems and impossibly short amount of time left before the show.
Peter is in good spirits and works extremely hard for long days, but the toll of this kind of workload is starting to become evident.
Peter needs these kind of deadlines, they help him focus on the finishing line, but his need for painting perfection constantly slows his productivity down to frustratingly slow pace, as the task of creating these incredibly finely rendered paintings in oil paint is incredibly laborious.
I will return to Glasgow tomorrow for my penultimate visit, and to record some pastels in the making.
